Raoul Moat
Raoul Moat became Britain's most wanted man in the summer of 2010 after shooting ex-girlfriend Samantha Stobbart and gunning down her new partner Chris Brown in Birtley, Gateshead, in the early hours of Saturday, 3 July 2010. Moat then shot PC David Rathband shot through the window of his car as he waited on a roundabout off the A1 in East Denton on Sunday, 4 July 2010. Moat then went on the run in Rothbury, Northumberland, evading police for five days until he killed himself using a shotgun in a tense five-hour stand off with police in the quiet village. Moat's funeral took place at the West Road Crematorium in Newcastle in August.
