DARLINGTON’S Bannatyne Hotel has appointed respected hospitality professional Scott Davidson as its new General Manager.
Scott joins Bannatyne’s after successfully establishing Wynyard Hall as one of North East England’s leading hotel and conference venues.
His appointment coincides with a recent refurbishment at Bannatyne Hotel, which included the extensive upgrade of its wedding and function facility, The Wilbur Suite. The hotel is hosting one of its popular Wedding Fayres on March 4 to showcase the developments.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, Scott, who is originally from Newcastle, has worked at a number of leading hotels including the Savoy in London.
He has also worked in the region at Linden Hall in Northumberland and the Vermont in central Newcastle.
He joined Wynyard Hall shortly after it opened in 2007 and held the position of General Manager until moving to Bannatyne Hotel in Darlington.
One of the North-east’s best-known boutique hotels, Bannatyne Hotel features 60 rooms and suites and is a popular destination for both North-east people and visitors to the region.
Central to the hotel is Maxine’s Bar & Restaurant, which has established an enviable reputation for its fine dining menu and welcoming atmosphere.
Bannatyne Hotel is also a highly-regarded wedding venue and holds a licence to host civil ceremonies.
Scott said: “Bannatyne Hotel has an excellent reputation and I am very proud to become General Manager. I have always admired the hotel’s quality and commitment to excellent customer service, which attracted me to this role. I am looking forward to welcoming guests to the hotel from across the UK who will enjoy our hospitality and make the most of what the North-east has to offer.”
