NYRON Nosworthy has sealed a permanent move to Watford – ending a seven-year association with Sunderland.

The central defender had been at Vicarage Road since the start of the season and has signed a two- and-a-half-year deal with the Championship side.

A former Sunderland player of the year, Nosworthy made 115 appearances for the Wearsiders before falling out of favour with Steve Bruce.

His last appearance in red and white was on January 27, 2010.
