Bruce starting to lose his patience

“If we can’t perform in front of that there is something I have to address.
“They have got it (the ability), and that’s the frustration. I have seen their ability – you can’t beat these teams at at the top without it – but I have not seen enough of it playing smaller or lesser teams in the division.
“I’m not upset because I am the old Wigan manager, it is the level of performance and the fact we have not kicked a ball.
“I will take responsibility, I didn’t change the system and maybe I should have done but tactics and formations, you can look too much in to that. You have to show up and have a bit of bottle, have pride about yourself and endeavour. I will have to change something.” While Sunderland spent the previous weekend beating Arsenal at home, Wigan lost 9-1 at Tottenham Hotspur.
“They had a response and we didn’t,” Bruce fumed.
“We turned up and thought, ‘Oh well, we will just go out, turn up and get the result,’ and we were sadly lacking.
“It is one win in 17 (away) games which puts you in the bottom ten and unless we arrest that we can have no aspiration of going forward.
“The one thing I am determined to do is to take this club forward. But it is going to take time.”
