Lorik Cana: I'll be there to Spur team on

On Jones he added: “That can happen. I did that once with my national team.
“He didn’t really want to hurt him (Ilunga), he just pushed him a little bit. It should just have been a yellow card but his opponent made a lot of cinema out of it. After that, the referee must give you a red card.
“We must learn to be a little bit more experienced in these situations. I don’t really think it was Kenwyne’s intention to leave the team with ten men.” Whereas Cana misses one game, Jones will not play in November. He is also banned for the matches at home to Arsenal and at Wigan Athletic.
Sunderland recovered from a seemingly hopeless situation to claim a point despite being a man light for 42 minutes. But they missed a string of further chances, including Cana’s 65th-minute header against the bar.
“We were losing 2-0, so to get back to 2-2 you can’t be disappointed,” the captain reflected. “We showed great spirit.
“But we should do better because they scored twice and that shouldn’t happen, especially the first goal. From that point of view, we’re disappointed, but in all other respects – the organisation, the game, the spirit, we had a couple of opportunities to score three or four goals – you couldn’t tell which team had ten men.
“We got a draw at home on a day when we had a fantastic opportunity to go into the top six. We must learn from this and keep all the good things. We created a lot of chances for Darren (Bent), for myself, for Michael Turner.
“A draw will be a good result at Tottenham. We can still win but without Kenwyne a draw will be a good result.”
