Capello will return, reckons Michael Turner

“Once he’s got first run on you, he’s just about impossible to catch. His finishing is second to none.”
But Turner does not just believe that it is only Bent the England manager will be coming to watch, as he predicted a bright future for midfielder Lee Cattermole.
He added: “Hopefully, the England manager will have to start watching Sunderland more and more regularly in the future. Darren can’t stop scoring goals at the moment, so he’s obviously going to be looked at.
“Lee has played a lot of games for the Under-21s so he’s someone who has to come into the equation at some stage. Darren is obviously the focus because of his goals, but I’m sure they’ll be looking at other players as well.”
Turner has not done his chances of an England call-up any harm with an impressive performance at Old Trafford and, despite Anton Ferdinand’s late own goal, the centre-back was thrilled with the team’s collective display.
He said: “From a personal point of view, I just want to concentrate on playing for this club and keeping things going in the right direction. I was pleased to play well, but it doesn’t really matter if the England manager is there or not to be honest. I’ll always give my all every game, and every now and then I’ll put in a performance like that. The key, though, is to be consistent.
“I think we are pleased with the start. The home win against Wolves was a big one, and then to follow that with a point at Manchester United just made it all the sweeter.
“You can’t really be too disappointed with a four-point haul from those games. It’s not painful. We played well at Old Trafford and got a point. Once the dust has properly settled, I’m sure well look back and be pleased with what we did. We’ll have a bit of a break now and look forward to the next game.”
