Recent projects?
Looking for Buddy at the Live Theatre and also the Sunday for Sammy 2010 concert at the City Hall, Newcastle, which is a live fundraising concert I take part in bienially to raise money for the Sammy Johnson Memorial Fund, which makes grants to help local performers further their careers.
Who or what is the love of your life?
My family.
Favourite shop?
Marks & Spencer. I can get jeans the right leg length.
Favourite restaurant?
Chilli Banana, which is a Thai restaurant.
Favourite pub?
Crown Posada in Newcastle. It’s one of the few that have never changed.
What is the last play or film you saw?
The Pitmen Painters, which was a brilliant play.
What book are you reading?
Lemon Drops by Les Dawson.
What are you listening to on your music player at the moment?
Dire Straits albums, AC/DC and my son’s band Drive Like I Do.
Favourite TV programme?
Match of the Day. I like watching goals. We’re starved at Newcastle.
