Actor Tim Healy

GEORDIE acting treasure Tim Healy, 57, has homes in Cheshire and Stocksfield, Northumberland.

He is married to actress Denise Welch and they have two sons, Matthew, 18, and Louis, seven.

Benwell-born Tim is a founder member of the Live Theatre, based on the Quayside, Newcastle. He recently starred in the contemporary jazz musical, Looking for Buddy, at the Live Theatre, which ended its four-week run this month.

Tim is currently involved in the Sunday for Sammy 2010 concert at the City Hall, Newcastle, a fundraising extravaganza he takes part in biennially to raise money for the Sammy Johnson Memorial Fund, which distributes grants to help local performers further their careers.

Where do you live?

Alderley Edge in Cheshire.

What’s your dream house?

My house in Northumberland.

What’s your favourite part of the North East?

I love the Tyne Valley. Whitfield is beautiful, but I love being in town too.

Your favourite North East building?

The Live Theatre on the Quayside. I’m a founder member since 1973. We had nowt then. Now we have a beautiful professional theatre.

Best holiday you’ve ever had?

Going to Lapland when the boys were younger to see Santa.

Favourite thing in your home?

My Aga.

If you could have one luxury, what would it be?

To know my lines without all the hard work at home.
