Ryan Noble hammered home from close range two minutes after the interval, and big Aussie Matthew Fletcher got the second a minute from time. Sunderland coach Kevin Ball said: “We scored two great goals and defended well.”
SUNDERLAND UNDER-18s (4-4-2): Misiewicz; Bagnall, Lamb, Egan, Adams, Mitchell, Wilson, Lynch (McEleny 63), Elliott, Noble, Fraser.
