NEWCASTLE finished a successful 2009/10 campaign with a win in Yorkshire.

The Magpies’ away form has been particularly impressive with only one defeat from their last 12 games on their travels having opened with two away defeats.

Brad Inman, a leading light in Newcastle’s season, fittingly opened the scoring against the Blades.

Inman was then the architect for United’s second when he set up a close-range finish for Arraon Spear.

Newcastle then put the game to bed when Sammy Ameobi followed his super strike in the midweek win over Leeds United with another clinical left-foot finish.
