PHIL AIREY was the hero for United's reserves as they defeated Grimsby Town at Whitley Park.
The youngster grabbed all three goals against the Mariners to end the second string's season in style.
The victory over the Cleethorpes outfit also ensured Alan Thompson's troops finished the campaign with three wins on the spin and 10 goals in the final three outings.
Airey grabbed his first on eight minutes, made it 2-0 on 14 minutes and, after hitting the bar, added his third with eight minutes left.
