Chris could be a loan arranger again

NEWCASTLE United will return to the loan market again if their transfer plans end up in tatters at the end of the January transfer window, even though Chris Hughton would prefer to make permanent signings.
Hughton is still looking to sign both Danny Simpson and Jermaine Beckford (pictured right) before the end of the month, but both deals have stalled and are in danger of collapsing.
With a centre-back also on his shopping list, Hughton admits he may have to make do with loan signings to fill the gaps in the squad. He explained: “If the right players were available, and you felt they were good investments for the club, then it would be great to sign them permanently.
“For me, that is not the most important thing.
