Cigarettes stolen from Co-op store in Wooler

THIEVES stole more than £3,000 worth of cigarettes in a raid on a Northumberland village store.

The burglary happened at the Co-op store on High Street in Wooler at about 4.30am on Friday.

Two men forced their way into the shop and stole over £3,000 worth of cigarettes and some lager.

The duo fled in a light coloured hatchback car, possibly a Peugeot.
