BERWICK MP Sir Alan Beith has welcomed £1m lottery funding for Lynemouth, Ellington, Linton and Cresswell.

He said: ”The four villages have had to cope with many changes and challenges in recent years, including the closure of the Alcan smelter and Ellington colliery, but good things have been happening and local people will be able to use this money to continue to build a good future for the area.”
