Lynemouth villagers take part in Get Active day

ENERGY levels were soaring as villagers stepped out for a Get Active day.

Fun and fitness were the order of the day in Lynemouth as Castle Morpeth Housing and Positive Futures organised events at three different venues.

And officers from Northumbria Police were on hand to offer their support, with free bicycle security marking available.

Villagers of all ages were invited to take part in activities, with children enjoying day-long street football at the Miners’ Welfare Institute.

Older residents could sample seated exercise classes or Tai Chi at the Park View sheltered housing scheme to keep them active.
