TWO Northumberland eateries have been nominated for dining awards by a ‘green’ campaign group.

Matfen Hall Hotel and Spa and The Twice Brewed Inn on the Military Road near Hexham are nominated in the first-ever 2011 Footprints Awards Community Vote section. Footprints promotes responsible food sourcing using local produce and conserving energy with green initiatives.
