A CAMPER van will help raise public awareness of the early symptoms of cancer in rural Northumberland.
Daisy – as the VW vehicle is known – will visit towns and villages in Tynedale, Berwick and Alnwick in April to allow NHS staff and volunteers to spread the message about the importance of early detection.
They will hand out information about cancer symptoms, talk to local people about what to look out for in their bodies and dispel any myths and taboos that surround the disease.
