Police make appeal for missing Berwick woman

POLICE are appealing for help to trace a missing woman in Northumberland.

Shirley Ferguson was last seen at 9am on Saturday in Cottingwood Lane, Morpeth.

The 56-year-old from East Ord, Berwick, said she was going for a walk, but she has not been seen since. Police are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and believe she could be in either the Berwick or Morpeth areas.

She is described as 5ft 6ins tall, very thin, with grey hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing light trousers, a navy macintosh and a hat, which is believed to be pink.

Anyone who may have seen Mrs Ferguson, or may know of her whereabouts now, is asked to police on 0345 604 3043.
