Remembrance Day events in South East Northumberland

THERE are several Remembrance Day events taking place across south east Northumberland.

In Morpeth, on November 11, it will begin at County Hall, Loandsdean,  Morpeth. Meet at 10.45 for an 11am start. There will also be a gathering outside the Town Hall from 10.50am to 11am before the two minutes silence.

Also, on November 14, the Remembrance Day parade will begin at 10.35am in Newmarket and will march to the cenotaph for the service at 10.55am.

In Bedlington, on November 14, there will be a  Remembrance Day parade and service. Parade participants will meet at the Salvation Army Hall at 2pm. The parade will begin at 2.15pm, making its way from the Salvation Army Hall to the War Memorial on Front Street. The service and wreath-laying will begin at the War Memorial at 2.30pm. There will be a road closure on Front Street during this time.

And, in Cramlington, the two minutes silence will be observed on November 11 at Manor Walks Shopping Centre, at 11am. Then, on November 14  at St Nicholas Church at 10am, there is a remembrance service followed by a wreath-laying at Cramlington Village War Memorial.
