ACTOR Kevin Whately is giving his support to a shop in the Northumberland village where he grew up.
Whately, star of the hit TV series Lewis, was raised in Humshaugh, north of Hexham. Humshaugh Village Shop, run by volunteers who saved it from closure, is one of 10 semi- finalists in line for a trophy in the 2011 National Lottery Awards.
