A SERIES of Hadrian’s Wall day-walks is being staged in 2011 – with a little extra.

Instead of the traditional 84-mile stretch from Bowness to Wallsend, organisers Shepherds Walks are extending the limits to the Irish and North Sea coasts. Jon Monks of Shepherds Walks said: “When you’re walking across the country it seems a waste not to do it coast to coast.”
