A NON-STATUTORY public inquiry into an application to grant the Old School Field in Haltwhistle village green status will be held this month.
An inspector appointed by Northumberland County Council will conduct the inquiry at Haltwhistle Library on September 22 and 23.
The application involves a dispute over the town football club’s plans to upgrade changing rooms and car parking.
Objectors are bidding to prevent the work by imposing village green status on the field under the 2006 Commons Act.
