A BODY has been found after a fire in a house in Northumberland.
Flames tore through the bungalow on Meadow Grange in Haltwhistle early yesterday morning.
Fire crews were called to the scene at around 9.30am and battled the fire until after 6pm.
Late last night, Northumbria Police confirmed that a body had been located in the property and was in the process of being recovered.
No more information about the deceased has been released at this stage and it is understood relatives are being informed.
Three fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were used to tackle the blaze which is believed to have destroyed the bungalow.
