Young people invited to apply for fitness apprenticeships

AMBITIOUS North East school-leavers interested in pursuing a career in the fitness industry are being invited to apply for funded apprenticeships.

The places are being offered by Fit Training, a North East-based provider of fitness training courses.

Successful applicants will follow in the footsteps of hundreds of other young people who have completed the popular programme and gone on to successful careers in the fitness industry.

These include Nicola Auld, a teenager from Cramlington, who successfully completed the course and now works with the GP referral team at the town’s Concordia Leisure Centre.

“Personal fitness is a growth sector and we are finding that more and more young people are choosing this career path, said Janet Reveley, managing director of Fit Training.

“Our apprenticeships offer a structured solution to young people who want to turn their passion for sport into a rewarding career.”

Entry requirements for the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Gym Instruction include GCSEs in maths and English.

For entrants who cannot meet these criteria, a Level 1 Foundation pre- apprenticeship course is available. To find out more visit www.fittraining.co.uk or call 0191 580 1080.
