A VETERAN MP has sent congratulations to the owner of his favourite Asian restaurant on completing 30 successful years in business.

Blyth Valley’s Ronnie Campbell is a regular patron of the Pan Ahar curry house in Blyth, and has nominated it for the national Tiffin Cup competition for Asian eateries several times.

Owner Labas Miah started out with a takeaway shop in the town and opened the Pan Ahar in the late 1980s. Mr Campbell said: ”I am a big fan. Mr Miah’s curries are the best I’ve ever tasted.”
