POLICE have appealed for information after a man was assaulted in Blyth.
The 23-year-old victim was walking in Dene View Drive, Cowpen, at 8.45pm last Wednesday when he was approached by two men and asked for a cigarette.
One of the pair then punched him in the face, knocking him to the floor. During the attack he dropped his mobile phone, which the second man took before the pair made off.
A 20-year-old was later arrested in connection with the assault, and has been bailed. Call police on 03456 043 043 ext 69191.
