St Andrew's pupils design saints artwork

ARTY pupils in Blyth have been taking inspiration from North East saints to create artwork.

The children at St Andrew’s First School have designed silk banners, mosaics and stained-glass windows based on the lives of saints Bede, Aidan, Cuthbert and Hilda.

The year 5 pupils worked with artists Lynda Vusthoff, Julie Smith and Helen Grierson on the project, which was part of an Arts Council scheme.
