MAJOR new developments planned in south east Northumberland can help offset job losses caused by recent council budget cuts, an MP has claimed.

Blyth Valley’s Ronnie Campbell stressed the economic importance of town centre projects in both Blyth and Cramlington, as well as the new emergency hospital planned near Cramlington.
