Sir Alan Beith praises Berwick postal staff

POSTAL workers in Northumberland have been praised and thanked for their efforts during the heavy snow by Berwick MP Sir Alan Beith who visited the mail sorting office in Berwick.

He said: “The workers have been making an immense effort over recent weeks to get the mail to its destination, and I know how much people have appreciated the individual efforts of postal delivery staffs.”

He said he would also raise workers’ concerns about privatisation of the Royal Mail at Westminster.
