AN EXHIBITION of the work of railway pioneer Robert Stephenson is now on at Bellingham Heritage Centre.

‘Robert Stephenson – Life and Rainhill’ includes a re-cap of the engineer’s part in the famous Rainhill Trials.

There is also an interactive tour of part of the factory and offices of Robert Stephenson & Co. It runs until May 11.
