Ashington Karate kids triumph in Chesterfield

ASHINGTON Karate Club claimed two golds and two silver medals in the KUGB Youth National Championships at Queens Park Leisure Centre in Chesterfield.

Naimh Duddrige was first in the girls’ under-16 brown belt kata, while Ashington’s A team of Dan Smart, Dan Lumb and Sarah Clow triumphed in the childrens’ team kata.

Silvers went to Clow in the girls’ under- 16 black belt kata and Smart in the boys’ under-16 black belt kata.
