EMPLOYERS from across the region will come together next week to celebrate value of apprenticeships at an awards dinner hosted by Northumberland College.

The event will be held on Thursday, February 9, at the Kirkley Hall conference centre near Ponteland when business representatives will be joined by guest speaker Alan Wallace, from the National Apprenticeship Service.

Two open days will be held for those interested in apprenticeships, the first at the Ashington campus on Tuesday, February 7, and the second at Kirkley Hall on Wednesday, February 8, both from 4.30-7pm.
