CAR enthusiasts are invited to an event in a Northumberland town.

Police in Ashington are holding their third GRID event of the year on Friday, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm at the Queen Elizabeth II Park.

The evening, like the two previous events, is set up to tackle concerns from people in Ashington about anti-social driving and groups of drivers gathering in the town centre.

Previous evenings have been attended by some of the country’s leading modified car groups who have shown off some of their specialist vehicles.

At next week’s free event JapNorthEast members will be coming along with some of their award-winning motors.
