This month we’ve news on a tasty Asian street food festival set to spice up these cold wintry days. We chat to restaurateur Bob Arora of Sachins in Newcastle, the organiser of Street Spice@Life, taking place in Times Square at the Centre for Life in the city.
The three-day extravaganza will feature a fusion of tastes and cultures, and will include street food vendors, chef demos, music and entertainment, housed in a heated marquee. Here Bob talks about the personal family tragedy that has inspired the festival, which kicks off on February 28. Elsewhere, our resident artist/food critic, Charlie Evans, pitches up at Gadds Town House in Durham and captures a stunning watercolour scene. In the kitchen this month is Graham Leggatt-Chidgey of the Butterwick Hospice while Luisa Minchella tells all on her healthy eating, organic food venture. Enjoy – and see you next month.
