DETECTIVES have released photographs of murder suspect Adrian Muir’s car in the hope it will help in their search to find missing Pamela Jackson.
Ms Jackson, 55, of The Crescent, Chester-le-Street, was reported missing on Thursday, March 7, by her son Joe, 21.
Searches of the River Wear in Chester-le-Street took place over the weekend with assistance from the fell rescue team.
Muir, 50, from Halifax, who is Ms Jackson’s partner, appeared in court last week charged with her murder.
Now police have released a photograph of his car and are appealing for anyone who might have seen it to get in touch. They are keen to hear from anyone who has seen the vehicle, a silver KIA Cee’d, with registration number LA07 AVW in Chester-le-Street or Halifax.
Police are currently trawling through hours of CCTV footage to piece together the events surrounding Ms Jackson’s disappearance.
Since she vanished, Ms Jackson, who is originally from Newcastle, has made no contact with any friends or family, has not accessed her bank account and there has been no activity on her Facebook profile.
Chief Inspector Elaine Taylor, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who might have information regarding the movements of this vehicle between the 1st and 8th March.
“As the investigation continues, we are becoming increasingly worried that Pamela has come to significant harm.
“It is now more than two weeks since anyone has seen her, and her bank and social media accounts remain untouched.”
Police in Durham are working with officers in West Yorkshire and searches are being carried out around Muir’s home, and locations where the pair might have visited.
Posters have been put up around Chester-le-Street appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 and ask for the major crime team, or alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
