Titus Bramble

SUNDERLAND star Titus Bramble is to appear in court after being charged with two alleged sex attacks.

The ex-Newcastle United player will also face a charge of urinating in public when he comes before magistrates next month.

Bramble, 30, was arrested in September, following an incident in Yarm, Teesside.

He was released on bail after questioning, but yesterday returned to a police station where he was charged with two counts of sexual assault and the public urinating offence.

The defender, who was suspended by Sunderland AFC following his arrest, will appear before Teesside Magistrates’ Court, next month.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “A 30-year-old man from Wynyard has been charged by police with two counts of sexual assault and urinating in a public place and will appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on November 10.

“The man was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, September 28, on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug. He was re-arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on October 14 after a second allegation was made.”
