MURDERER Raoul Moat’s ex-girlfriend has spoken of the terrifying moment the gunman shot her in the stomach and executed her new partner.
Samantha Stobbart has relived the horrific night the former bouncer began an attack which lead to Britain’s largest man hunt.
The full details of what went on during the hunt are only now starting to emerge.
They include the incredible revelation that Moat took the time to send Ms Stobbart a get well soon card as she lay in hospital, days before he finally turned his gun on himself.
Ms Stobbart, 22, saw Moat stare as he shot her lover Chris Brown in the legs before delivering a point-blank round to the head.
Moments later Moat turned the weapon on his former girlfriend, shooting her through a window and leaving her trembling in a pool of blood.
The hairdresser, who was released from hospital on Friday, said: “I saw the sparks flying off Raoul’s gun as he shot me. Then I was on the floor with blood pumping out everywhere. Raoul was waiting for us, hiding outside with a sawn-off shotgun. Chris kissed me at the door and we walked out into the night.
“Raoul just jumped out and without a word shot Chris at point blank range in the legs. I could feel the force of the gunshot, the sound was deafening.
”It was as if a massive firework had exploded in front of me.”
Ms Stobbart continued: “Chris stumbled to the ground and somehow managed to crawl about 20 yards on to the green field at the front of the house.
“He didn’t cry out or say anything. He was fighting for his life like a man. Not a coward like Raoul. But I was reeling. I screamed, ‘You shot my boyfriend, you *******’.
