Raoul Moat's ex-girlfriend Samantha Stobbart leaves hospital

SAMANTHA Stobbart has left hospital for after being shot by her crazed ex-boyfriend Raoul Moat.

The blonde 22-year-old was shielded from view by a golf umbrella and escorted away by journalists and photographers as she left the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead at around 5pm last night.

Nurses waved Sam goodbye as she left with her stepfather, Paul Stobbart.

It is believed she has signed a six-figure deal with a Sunday newspaper for her story.

Samantha spent the week under armed guard fighting for her life after being shot in the chest twice by her ex-partner with whom she was in a relationship for six years.

Her new boyfriend Chris Brown, 29, was killed on the front lawn before Moat turned the gun on her.

She admitted lying to Moat by telling him her new partner was a police officer in a bid to keep him away.

Moat then went on to shoot PC David Rathband, 42, blinding the traffic officer in both eyes.
