FASHION designers of the future got a chance to showcase their talents.
Students from Newcastle’s Central High School strutted their stuff along the catwalk last night during a fashion show.

Every item of clothing at the event was designed by the students of the A-level textiles course.
Year 12 pupils from the Jesmond school designed creations which took inspiration from the architecture of Tyneside. While their year 13 counterparts were allowed to let their imaginations go wild.
Alison Goldie, head of art and textiles, said: “All of the girls have put in a huge amount of work. I don’t think they realised how much work would be involved.
