DOCTOR Who fans are looking forward to a special exhibition on the sci-fi television show due to be held on Tyneside later this year.

The exhibition at Newcastle’s Centre for Life will feature memorabilia including Daleks, Cybermen, Ood and Judoon. The Autons and Absorbaloff will also be appearing alongside other props and costumes from the iconic BBC TV show.

The show, which comes as the Centre for Life prepares for its 10th anniversary next year, opens on May 22.

The Centre’s science communications director Ian Simmons said: “Doctor Who is fantastic fun for the whole family so we’re delighted to be able to announce this new exhibition at the Life Science Centre which we hope will bring in a whole new audience.

“This celebration of Doctor Who over the years is also the perfect 10-year celebratory event for us at the centre.”
