The catwalk's a cakewalk for Sunderland stars

FOOTBALL stars swapped their boots for suits as they took to the catwalk.
Sunderland players last night strutted their stuff at the Stadium of Light to raise money for charity. Members from the first team squad took part in the Sunderland AFC Foundation’s second annual fashion show, where guests were kept entertained by glamour, music and live performances.
‘Fashion Strikes: Winter Days, Party Nights’ was held last night to raise cash for the club’s charity, which helps more than 30,000 children in the local area but relies on fundraising for 95% of project costs.
Guests enjoyed a champagne reception before sitting down to a three-course dinner. Midfielder Andy Reid also reprised his musical skills after surprising guests at the 2008 show with an acoustic music set.
A donation of £110 to the SAFC Foundation will allow 11 young people to enjoy positive activities in a safe environment.
A donation of £1,000 can help three pupils by providing a supportive alternative education.
As well as helping to inspire and encourage primary and secondary school children, work done under the Kickz programme has seen anti-social behaviour in some areas reduced by as much as 47% and criminal damage reduced by 70%.
