THE Journal brought you live coverage of the Royal Visit on Friday.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were in the North East to perform the official opening of the Great North Museum in Newcastle. The royal couple also visited the new £40.2m City Library that opened to the public in June and performed a walkabout on Northumberland Street.
Earlier the pair had visited Washington School.
We brought you reports and live video streams from our team of journalists on the spot and photos from our snappers as the Queen and Prince Philip made their way around the region.
