Thousands flock to Katie Price book signing

The snaking queues of adoring fans behaved brilliantly and she stayed until she had signed every book.
Organiser Paul Gough said: “I’ve never seen anything like it. In Newcastle there must have been two thousand fans who waited patiently in the rain to see her, and the Metrocentre was virtually brought to a standstill.
“This signing has totally exceeded all our expectations.
“She was quite taken aback and said she thought the amount of people there was incredible.
“Everyone just surged forward when she arrived. But she was determined to stay in the store until the very last book was signed.”
She made the signings without her boyfriend, cage fighter Alex Reid, but a group of his pals escorted her to the two events.
At her first Tyneside appearance, at Waterstones, Katie tried to disguise the fact her book has already been discounted.
She tried to cover the half-price sticker with her left hand but was caught out by eagle-eyed photographers.
