THE region’s best in fine-dining is being exported... to Yorkshire.

Seaham Hall’s Head Chef Kenny Atkinson has agreed to showcase a new menu at Harvey Nichols flagship store for the North of England, in Leeds.

As part of the upmarket department store’s 13th anniversary celebrations bosses at the prestigious Fourth Floor Café have invited the Michelin-stared culinary master to lay on some of his best over a four-day residency.

Next week diners in the West Yorkshire city will have the chance to sample treats from Newcastle-born Kenny’s Great British Menu.

Among the signature dishes on offer will be Kenny’s famous starter of Aberdeen Angus beef, carrots, horseradish and Shetland black potato crisps, the dish which propelled him into the final of the BBC television competition.

Those prepared to splash out can also enjoy: poached and pan roasted pork tenderloin, with creamed celeriac, caramelised apple and sage, and Kenny’s dark Valrohna chocolate terrine, red wine poached pears, vanilla ice cream and pistachio.
