A TEAM of North cooks are set to showcase their talents on TV with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
Gregory Bureau and two of his employees, Nicolas Duhil and Craig Wanless, will appear alongside the foul-mouthed restaurateur in the forthcoming series of Channel4’s Gordon Ramsay’s F Word.
The popular programme sees a team of three enthusiastic cooks come into a specially set up restaurant and cook for 50 invited guests including a number of celebrities. Diners then give the group, who work under the supervision of Gordon, feedback on whether or not they would be prepared to pay for the dish.
Gregory, who owns, Bouchon Bistro in Hexham, Northumberland, believes that he and his colleagues stand a better chance than most. He explained: “We are used to working in a high pressure environment and cooking for a living. I know that Gordon has a reputation for swearing and becoming irate but I think we will be able to handle working with him.”
Gregory didn’t apply to be on the show and was contacted by producers after the programme’s website had feedback from a number of people suggesting who they would like to appear in the kitchen.
