Pervert Ronald MacRae jailed for inciting child abuse

A WEBCAM paedophile who incited another pervert to sexually abuse a vulnerable young girl thousands of miles away was finally trapped by a two-year Transatlantic police investigation.

Married Ronald MacRae was arrested in June last year after he was linked by US detectives to the horrific exploitation of a nine-year-old girl by her grandfather.

Inquiries revealed MacRae – living on Wearside – had used webcams to incite the man to rape and abuse the youngster.

His name was passed on to Northumbria Police by the US based Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre and he was jailed for 12 years with an eight-year extended licence at Newcastle Crown Court yesterday after admitting a string of sex offences.

MacRae, 51, of Duncan Street, Pallion, Sunderland, was also ordered on to the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and banned from working with children for life.
