Hundreds pay tribute at funeral of crash victim Peter Pringle

The traditional hymn was followed by a poem from one of Peter’s friends and a short sample of a song from one of Peter’s favourite pop stars.

Peter’s uncle by marriage Paul Hoskins then recounted the first time he had met the youngster at around the age of five and how he would always remember him as a “cheeky little lad” who always had a smile and a grin.

Through the tears there was also laughter as Mr Hoskins explained how after being told he couldn’t have a pet dog Peter went out and bought one and kept it hidden in his bedroom for two days.

Following the service Peter was taken on the short journey to Alnwick Cemetery where he was laid to rest close to friend Sam.

There were many floral tributes from friends and family all saying how much Peter would be missed.

One of the many cards of condolence simply said: “You were never just a friend. You were everything in one. Our love for you will never fade, even though you’re gone. All your mates.”
