DETECTIVES were last night quizzing four people over the murder of a doting dad.
Four members of Andrew Gardner’s family have been re-arrested in connection with his death, in March.
They were last night being questioned at two different police stations in County Durham.
Mr Gardner collapsed and died in the living room of his home in Chilton, County Durham, on Friday, March 13.
It was at first thought the 35-year-old, who is originally from Bensham, Gateshead, had been attacked while out drinking that evening.
But days later police arrested four members of his family on suspicion of murder.
It is understood they are his partner, her brother, her mother and her mother’s boyfriend.
The two men aged 23 and 44, and women aged 51 and 27, all from Chilton, were questioned and re-leased on bail.
But they have now been re-arrested and were being quizzed further last night.
