Experimental drugs offer new hope for cancer patients

He said: “I was diagnosed with cancer shortly after a family event when I had difficulty keeping food down.

“I had undergone a number of treatments and was at the doctors when they told me that everything that could be done had been done and it was no use.

“I immediately decided that I would pursue every option I could. I told them they could use me as a guinea pig and I am fully aware I am in the last chance saloon.”

Brian is currently on his second cycle of new experimental drug Phortress and says he feels he is improving. Although he can’t eat solids he is managing to maintain his weight through liquid feed which enters his system as he sleeps.
