Walking With Dinosaurs the Arena Spectacular is based on the award-winning BBC television series and will bring the amazing story of the dinosaurs alive.
The stars of the show include a 36ft-tall Brachiosaurus – the height of a three storey house – and a fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex which measures 42ft from tooth to tail, along with 13 other life-like dinosaurs.
Alli Coyne, 43, the resident director, was delighted at the prospect of bringing the production to town and promised a great show. “Newcastle is our second venue and I can’t wait. It’s so marvellous and so different and so out of this world. It’s a travel through time.
“We’ve got rainstorms and comets, dinosaurs fighting and talking to each other in their little languages and our paleontologist, Huxley, explains the whole story. I really think its something for everyone. It is so spectacular you can’t help but say wow.”
The show is on at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena from July 8 to 12.
